Cultural equivalency check: Saud Abdulaziz bin Nasser al Saud (who, if you can’t tease it out, is a royal member of the House of Saud) has been convicted in the UK for the murder of his manservant. His sentence will be “life” in prison, which means he’ll probably have to serve at least 20 years.

His royal status was not sufficient to protect him from justice in Britain, although had the crime been committed in Saudi, he’d have probably have gotten off on that charge.

They’d have executed him for being gay, though.

Once released he’ll likely be offered asylum in Britain.
